Birthday Cake Ideas – This festive cake with cream cheese is a classic for those who want a different birthday cake. Light cream cheese frosting perfectly complements the taste and makes the cake a favorite recipe.
Ingredients for Birthday Cake Ideas:
For the Cake:
130 g butter, soft
350 g sugar, brown
150 ml buttermilk
100 ml beetroot juice
5 drops food colouring, red
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 orange, juice and zest
300 g wheat flour
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp baking cocoa
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
For the cream cheese frosting:
200 g icing sugar
300 g butter
800 g cream cheese
1 vanilla pod
Fat for the mould
3 tbsp beetroot juice
Cream the butter and sugar together using a hand mixer (whisk). Stir in the eggs one by one. Add the buttermilk, beetroot juice, food colouring and vinegar and stir in carefully. Wash the orange, pat dry and cut in half. Grate the zest and squeeze out the juice. Stir in the juice and zest.
Preheat the oven to 350 °F top/bottom heat.
Sift the flour, starch, baking cocoa, baking soda and baking powder into the liquid mixture and mix in carefully. Spread the cake mixture into a springform pan and smooth it down. Bake in the oven for 25-28 minutes on the middle shelf. Leave to cool in the springform tin for 10-15 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the cream cheese frosting. Sieve the icing sugar and beat with the butter until creamy. Stir in the cream cheese and the pulp of the vanilla pod.
Remove the cake base from the springform tin, smooth the surface and cut in half twice crosswise. Spread the beetroot juice over the cake with a brush. Spread a layer of cream about 2 cm thick on one cake base. Place the second cake layer on top. Spread another 2 cm layer and place the last base on top.Put the remaining cream in a piping bag and squeeze it over the cake. Let the cake rest in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Garnish with strawberries,bluberry etc. before serving.
