Vegan Chocolate Cake

Avocado in a Vegan Chocolate Cake? Not everyone dares to try this combination. But you can’t taste the avocado, instead it makes the cake much juicier – and there are valuable fats to boot.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Ingredients for Vegan Chocolate Cake:

300 g flour
80 g cocoa powder
125 g brown sugar
1 tsp natural vanilla extract
1 packet baking powder
250 ml almond, oat or soy milk
150 ml melted margarine
Fresh berries (blueberries, blackberry and raspberries)

For the vegan chocolate frosting you will need:
2 avocados
50 g cocoa powder
3 tbsp maple syrup or agave syrup
1 tbsp melted margarine


And this is how it works: Put all the ingredients for the dough (except berries) in a bowl and mix with a whisk or mixer. When the dough is smooth, pour it into a greased springform pan (diameter: 26 cm). Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

For the icing, mix two avocados with cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil and vanilla extract and pour over the cooled cake. Then decorate with berries. Done!
