Rocky Road Recipe

Ingredients for Rocky Road Recipe

150 g cookies (amarettini and oat crisp or butter cookies)
150 g nut kernels or nut mixture, also with almonds (e.g. macadamias, Brazil nuts, pecans or hazelnuts, almonds also work)
250 g dark chocolate
150 g milk chocolate
175 g soft butter
4 tablespoons light syrup (spread, in yellow cup, from Grafschafter)
150 g dried berries, cranberries or cherries (use whatever you like best)
125 g mini marshmallows

Instructions

Place cookies in a freezer bag and run a rolling pin over them a few times to make different-sized crumbs. Do not crush too finely. Leave nuts whole, cut in half, or coarsely chop, depending on the variety.

Chop chocolates into small pieces, melt with butter and syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat while stirring.

Remove chocolate mixture from heat, loosely mix in cookie crumbs, nuts, dried fruit and marshmallows with a pastry scraper and pour into a square baking pan (23 x23 cm and 5 cm high) lined with parchment paper. Smooth out and let set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Remove chocolate block with the paper from the mold, cut into cubes (about 3-4 cm in size) with a large sharp knife with a smooth blade. In between, wash the knife again and again.
