Flourless Chocolate Cake

Fancy a moist Flourless Chocolate Cake that is so incredibly chocolaty, soft and sinful that it could also pass for dessert? A kind of chocolate cake with an almost liquid centre that melts in your mouth and is also very quick to prepare? Then I have something for you.

Flourless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients for Flourless Chocolate Cake:

200 gram butter
200 grams chopped dark chocolate
4 medium eggs
80 grams sugar
80 grams whole cane sugar or brown sugar; 160g sugar in total!
2 pinches of salt
1 pinch of ground vanilla
200 grams ground almonds
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon baking cocoa


Melt the butter with the chopped chocolate in a hot water bath or normally in a saucepan over a low heat. Stir from time to time.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees top and bottom heat. Grease the small springform pan and dust with a little cocoa.

Beat the eggs with the two sugars, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy. Stir in the almonds with the baking powder and cocoa alternately with the liquid butter and chocolate mixture. Pour the batter into the tin.

Bake the cake for about 30-35 minutes and leave in the switched-off oven for 5 minutes. Then leave to cool in the tin for at least 15 minutes before cutting. The cake can also be left in the fridge overnight.
