Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake

Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake is easy to make – even without eggs! For example, you can use our recipe to make sponge cake, which is ideal for cakes.

Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake

Ingredients for Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake:

450 gram flour
1 packet baking powder
300 gram sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
100 millilitres vegetable oil (e.g. sunflower or rapeseed oil)
500 millilitre mineral water (carbonated)
Fat for the mould

Instructions:

For the vegan sponge cake, first mix the flour and baking powder together in a bowl. Add the sugar and vanilla sugar.

Briefly stir the oil and sparkling water into the dry ingredients to make a smooth batter.

Grease a springform pan (28 cm) and pour in the vegan sponge mixture. Bake in the oven at 350 °F convection oven for about 30 minutes.

Test the dough with a chopstick to make sure it is cooked. When the base has cooled, cut it in half lengthwise.
