Chocolate Lava Cake

These little Chocolate Lava Cake have it all. With their liquid centre, the chocolate muffins, also called lava cakes, are an absolute chocolate dream.

Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients for Chocolate Lava Cake:

200 g dark chocolate
120 g butter
4 eggs
100 g Sugar
1 pck. Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
80 g flour
a little butter for the moulds
some icing sugar for sprinkling

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coarsely chop the chocolate. Melt the butter in a saucepan, remove from the heat. Add the chocolate and stir occasionally until dissolved. Rinse the silicone muffin tin with cold water, do not dry. Alternatively, grease 6 porcelain moulds (Ø 7-8 cm).

Beat the eggs, sugar and salt in a bowl until frothy. Add the butter mixture and mix. Finally, stir in the flour. Divide the batter between 6 small porcelain moulds. Bake in the middle rack for exactly 13 minutes, remove from the oven and carefully remove from the ramekins and turn out directly onto a plate. The cakes still look very soft, but are easy to turn out. Serve directly with icing sugar or cocoa.
