Chocolate Chip Cake

Simple and lightning-fast recipe for moist and fluffy Chocolate Chip Cake with banana. This is probably the most moist Chocolate Chip Cake ever. The banana gives it a pleasant sweetness and it only needs a little sugar for baking.

Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cake:

60 g soft butter
100 g brown sugar
1 egg
3 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
275 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 pinch of salt
100 g chocolate chips


Preheat the oven to 335 °F top/bottom heat. Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl, add the egg and continue to beat. Add the bananas and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

Finally, stir in the flour and baking powder, then fold in half the chocolate chips. Grease a 24 cm diameter springform pan and add the mixture. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the batter and place the cake on the 2nd shelf from the bottom in the preheated oven.

Bake for 30 – 40 minutes until golden brown (not too dark or it will be too firm!). Remove and leave to cool on a wire rack.
