Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is always a bit heavy, but a fluffy, fluffy cake base can cope with it! Here you will find the basic recipe for a chocolate buttercream made from dark chocolate, butter, icing sugar and cream. The cream is suitable for spreading and filling cakes, cupcakes and the like and is even suitable for fondant.

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients for Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:

70 g icing sugar
350 g butter
300 g dark chocolate
150 ml cream

Instructions:

Finely chop the chocolate. Bring the cream to the boil in a saucepan. Remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate to the cream and stir in with a whisk until smooth. Leave the chocolate cream to cool.

Whip the butter with the icing sugar for about 5 minutes until light. Add the chocolate cream and whip the mixture again for 2-3 minutes.

For processing, the buttercream should be at room temperature, but not too warm – then it will become soft.
