This recipe for Cheese Scones is an interesting variation on the classic English tea biscuit and tastes just great!

Cheese Scones

Ingredients for Cheese Scones Recipe:

250 g flour
1 pinch salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp mustard
1 pinch cayenne pepper
70 g butter
90 g cheddar cheese
150 ml milk
150 ml milk

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F .

Melt the butter slightly in a bowl and then mix with the milk, mustard, salt and cayenne pepper until you have a foamy mixture. Now carefully stir in the cheddar cheese.

Mix the flour with the baking powder in a second bowl and then add to the cheese and butter mixture.

Now form small rolls from the dough and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Finally, place the tray in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the scones are golden brown.
