Fine banana cake is very easy to make yourself. Simply stir together all the ingredients and a few ripe bananas and the sweet bread is ready.
Ingredients for Banana Cake:
3 ripe bananas
80 ml neutral oil (e.g. sunflower oil)
110 g brown sugar
200 g wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 vanilla pod
1 pinch of cinnamon
a little butter for the mould
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the loaf tin (inside dimensions 23 x 10 cm) well. Mash the bananas with a fork in a bowl.
Score the vanilla pod lengthwise with a knife and scrape out with the back of the knife. Whisk the oil with the brown sugar and eggs.
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and vanilla pod and stir into the oil-egg mixture. Stir in the banana puree.
Pour the batter into the tin and bake in the preheated oven for about 55 minutes. The banana bread makes about 10 pieces.
Just add a few chopped walnuts to the dough and the banana bread gets a whole new, also heavenly delicious flavour.
